You are invited to Set Sail for the Library

 Summer Reading Program starts on June 10th

Children who have finished kindergarten to sixth grade can register.  They will receive a logbook to record the titles of books that they read this summer for prizes.  The summer reading program will run on Thursday from 3:30PM until 5:30PM, starting June 10 through July 29.  Children will learn about water, how it affects our daily lives, and how it affected people in the past.  Starting June 15th through July 27th, on Tuesdays from 3:30PM to 5:30PM, we will have a movie and craft.  For more information phone the library at 417-673-4326.

  • June 10th - Kick-off with learning about the Water Cycle
  • June 15th - Benjamin Franklin and a craft
  • June 17th - Neosho National Fish Hatchery will be here
  • June 22nd - The Page Master and a craft
  • June 24th - Claw Paws will talk about fish and birds as part of our Pirate's Day.  Come dressed in your best pirate costume.
  • June 29th - Atlantis and a craft
  • July 1st - We will investigate the fantasies of the ocean depth such as sea serpents and Atlantis.
  • July 6th - Road to Eldorado and a craft
  • July 8th - Lets party, Beach Party that is.  Dress up in your most flowery outfits or grass skirts.
  • July 13th - Eyewitness Pond and River and a craft
  • July 15th - Vicki and Calvin will be here with some friends to talk about the ecosystem of ponds.
  • July 20th - Bednobs and Broomsticks and a craft (This movie is 2 hours and 20 minutes long, please plan on staying longer).
  • July 22nd - Calypso Scuba and Ski Shop will talk about diving and snorkeling.
  • July 27th - A suprise movie???
  • July 29th - Water Fair Finale - Each student will pick out a water experiment to show the audience.  Invite your family and friends to watch.

Local Food Banks Need Your Help

The Webb City Public Library is currently taking non-perishable food for library fines.  Donations are gladly accepted and will be given to agencies who work with families in need.  No cash will be given back and cans must be within expiration dates.
