Purpose    

 The purpose of the Friends is to maintain an association of persons interested in the Webb City Public Library that will foster closer relations between the Webb City Public Library and the citizens of Webb City; Promote knowledge of the functions, resources, services and needs of the Webb City Library; Support and cooperate with the Webb City Public Library in developing library services and facilities in the community; Promote reading in the community; Encourage, solicit and receive gifts, endowments and bequests for the Webb City Public Library; and Secure materials that are beyond the scope of the ordinary Webb City Public Library budget.  There are 40 members in good standing, which includes the Executive Board.
